The Department of Biological Sciences offers majors for students who are passionate about the science of living organisms including biology, environmental science, neuroscience, and pre-professional programs such as pre-medicine and pre-pharmacy. Students will have the opportunity to participate in undergraduate research, take interdisciplinary courses, gain valuable hands-on experience through internships, community engagement, and project-based courses, and receive tailored mentoring as you plan your future career.

Students can start doing research with faculty mentors in their first year at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. After the first year, students can earn course credit or find a paid research positions. Undergraduate research builds your resume and can lead to great job and grad school opportunities.
Student organizations and clubs bring students together outside of the classroom to share common interests, challenge themselves, and grow professionally.
If you're concerned about where your degree will take you, relax! Students are assigned both an academic adviser to help with course scheduling, and a faculty mentor who will provide specialized guidance on your professional development.
