• Must be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
• Incoming students must have a minimum 23 ACT score.
• Continuing students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Must display financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the U.S. Department of Education.
• Must have declared Biological Sciences as their major or be pre-med track eligible.
• Preference will be given to high school graduates from Newport Central Catholic and Bishop Brossart High Schools.

Purpose: Endowed scholarship will support students studying neuroscience at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.

Purpose: The scholarship will support students who have declared biological sciences as their major.

Amount: Varies each year

Eligibility: Must major in biological sciences or are pre-med track eligible. Incoming students must have a 23 ACT score and continuing students must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Must display financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

Duration: One (1) academic year, excluding summer sessions.

Purpose: To assist a ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú student accepted into medical school.

Amount: Varies each year

Eligibility:

• Student must be a senior pre-medical student accepted for enrollment into medical school.
• Must be a resident of Boone, Campbell or Kenton County.
• Must have a 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative grade-point average.

Duration: Spring semester

Purpose: Provide scholarship support for students pursuing an undergraduate degree from the Department of Biological Sciences.

Eligibility:

• Must be accepted for admission as an undergraduate degree-seeking student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
• Incoming students must have a minimum 23 ACT score.
• Continuing students must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree within the Department of Biological Sciences.
  

Duration: One (1) academic year (excluding summer sessions)

Purpose: To support an undergraduate student displaying financial need who is majoring in biological sciences and shows interest or experience in outreach and education in biology.

Eligibility:

• Must be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
• Continuing students must maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Must display financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the U.S. Department of Education.
• Submit essay displaying interest in biology outreach and education, in the spirit of Professor Kues. Preference will be given to students pursuing biology outreach and/or biology education.

Purpose: The primary goal of the scholarship is to support students pursuing a bachelor degree in biological sciences, neuroscience or environmental science for summer coursework, research, and/or internships.

Eligibility:

• Must be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
• Must be accepted into the biological studies or environmental studies major field of study program.
• Must be enrolled for credit hours during a summer session.
• Preference will be given to qualified applicants who display financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the U.S. Department of Education.
• Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are first-generation college students.

Learn More About the Greaves Scholarship

Amount: Varies each year

For: Current ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students majoring in a STEM field, who have earned 90 or more credit hours (equivalent to senior standing).

This scholarships rewards first-generation STEM students for their leadership and academic efforts at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. Nominations are submitted by faculty each spring, and awardees are honored each August at the Heather Bullen Summer Celebration of Research.
